Clinical Supervision
For Professionals
Clinical music therapy supervision is an important tenet in your professional development.
We provide supervision to music therapists and other professionals.
FOR MUSIC THERAPISTS: We provide supervision and coaching for music therapists who want to gain a better understanding of the DIRFloortime model and how to integrate it into their music therapy work.
FOR OTHER PROFESSIONALS: We provide supervision and coaching for therapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals who want to integrate music into their DIRFloortime work.
Clinical supervision can provide:
→ an outlet to explore clinical situations, verbally and musically.
→ broaden clinical musicianship and improvisation skills.
→ use video and audio recordings of your supervision session(s) to get musical and clinical feedback.
→ valuable opportunities for self reflection using principle of reflective supervision.
→ support theory development, clinical goal writing, and career goals.
Clinical supervision is provided in New York City (Murray Hill, 30th and Park Avenue), or online via Skype or Google.
Late afternoon and evenings (Monday-Friday); some weekend times also available

Stacey Hensel, MA, MT-BC, LCAT, NRMT has extensive experience supervising music therapy interns, art therapists, and music therapists since 1999. She creates a safe place to explore and discover feelings and reactions to clinical situations.
Stacey also specializes in providing clinical supervision to professionals working with the DIRFloortime® Model.
I highly recommend supervision with Stacey. I did supervision with her via Skype/google hangouts for about a year. I found my time with her to be extremely beneficial. We were able to share clinical videos back and forth through screen sharing and at times through secure drop box sites.
The flexibility of the online supervision allowed us to choose convenient times to meet. She is very knowledgeable on her given population and was very helpful in giving important feedback, suggestions or to help me to sort out important issues related to my clinical practice. She was easy to talk with, open, honest and professional. I got a lot out of my time with her.

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be
to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
